Privacy Policy

What data DefuseZone.pro collects, why, and how you can control it. Effective from 13 October 2026.

The short version

We do not sell data

Your data is used only to run the portal, the servers and your VIP.

We never see your card

Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers.

No tracking cookies

Only cookies needed for login, language and polls. No ads, no analytics.

Deleted on request

Write to us and we will export or delete your data within a month.

1.Who processes your data

  1. The controller is Ondřej Grycz, a self-employed individual, Company ID (IČO) 30130069, seat Havířov, Czech Republic, operator of DefuseZone.pro and its game servers.
  2. For anything about your personal data write to support@defusezone.pro. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require one for an operation of this size.

2.What we process and why

  1. We process only the data needed for each purpose below. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.

Web account

Data
Username, e-mail, password (stored only as a one-way hash), SteamID if you sign in with Steam, avatar and profile banner, registration and last login date.
Purpose
Running your account, signing in, e-mail verification and password reset.
Legal basis
Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Kept for
While the account exists. After you close it we delete the data within 30 days.

Forum, messages and uploads

Data
Posts, topics, private messages, uploaded images and poll votes.
Purpose
Providing the forum, chat and community features.
Legal basis
Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Kept for
While the account exists, or until you delete the content.

VIP purchase

Data
E-mail, SteamID or game nickname, activation password, package, price, payment ID and date.
Purpose
Delivering and activating VIP, sending the confirmation, handling complaints.
Legal basis
Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation for tax records (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Kept for
For as long as the VIP lasts; payment records for the period required by tax law.

Game servers

Data
Game nickname, SteamID, IP address, bans and mutes, in-game statistics.
Purpose
Running the servers, VIP perks, fair play and protection against cheaters.
Legal basis
Legitimate interest in protecting the servers and the community (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Kept for
Statistics while the server runs; bans for the duration of the ban.

Security and support

Data
IP address when voting in polls, records of admin actions, e-mail and Discord communication with support.
Purpose
Preventing repeated voting and abuse, auditing admin actions, answering your questions.
Legal basis
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Kept for
As long as needed for the purpose, typically until the poll ends or the request is resolved.

3.Payments

  1. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland). Card numbers and other payment details are entered directly into Stripe’s form and never reach our servers. We only receive the payment ID, amount, status and the e-mail you entered.
  2. For fraud prevention and its legal obligations Stripe processes some data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.

4.Who receives the data

  1. Stripe processes payments (see Article 3).
  2. The hosting providers of the website, e-mail and game servers store the data on their servers on our behalf. E-mails are sent from our own mail server on the @defusezone.pro domain.
  3. Steam (Valve): when you sign in with Steam, you log in on Steam’s site and we only receive your public SteamID.
  4. YouTube (Google): pages with videos load thumbnails and players from Google servers, which can see your IP address.
  5. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. We hand it to authorities only where the law requires it.

5.Transfers outside the EU

  1. Stripe, Google and Valve may process some data in the USA. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

6.Cookies

  1. We use only cookies that are necessary for the site to work, so we do not ask for consent. We have no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
  • PHPSESSID keeps you signed in during a visit. Deleted when you close the browser.
  • defusezone_remember keeps you signed in if you tick “remember me”. Valid for 60 days.
  • defusezone_lang and lang remember the language you picked.
  • defuse_poll_voted_… remembers that you already voted in a poll.
  • On the checkout page Stripe sets its own cookies needed to process the payment and prevent fraud.

7.Security

  1. The site runs over encrypted HTTPS. Account passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody, not even admins, can read them.
  2. Only administrators who need it for their role have access to personal data, and their actions in the admin panel are logged.

8.Your rights

  1. You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  2. To exercise any right, write to support@defusezone.pro from the e-mail linked to your account, or include your nickname or SteamID. We will reply within one month.
  3. If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can file a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz.

9.Changes

  1. This policy is effective from 13 October 2026. If we change it, we will publish the new version here and announce major changes on the website.
